But it won't break me

The hard work of healing

Radically changing your life is hard. It’s work. And yet, I am so incredibly grateful for this opportunity.

An opportunity. That’s how I choose to see it. Not just a battle, not just an ordeal—but a chance to transform, to grow, to realign with the things that truly matter.

Having faced cancer, I’ve come to realize that healing isn’t just about the body. It’s about the mind, the soul, and the choices I make every single day. The lumpectomy is done. Radiation is behind me. But the journey isn’t over. If anything, it’s just beginning. And it's exciting!

I’m reading, researching, learning—because knowledge is power. I’m nourishing my body with the best foods (raw foods from this earth and juicing), moving in ways that make me feel alive (Fast Fitness Waterloo, yoga and long walks) and filling my mind with truth and hope.

I am declaring truth, hope, and positivity over my own life. I am using words to affirm healing, strength, and purpose, rather than fear or doubt.

And every day, I speak life over myself:

I am healthy. I am strong. I am cancer-free. In Jesus’ name, I am healed. It is God’s will.

These words are more than a mantra. They are my foundation, my reminder that I am walking in faith, in healing, in purpose.

Radical change doesn’t happen overnight. It takes commitment. It takes courage. And sometimes, it takes standing in front of the mirror, looking yourself in the eyes, and declaring victory—before you even feel it.

To anyone else navigating a hard season, know this: You are stronger than you think. Your story is not over. Every step forward is a step toward healing.

And for that, we can be grateful.
